Project Millionaire Update

Okay I have made two significant milestones in the Project Millionaire journey.
(for more information see my previous posts on this subject)
The first is that I doubled my stake to 32.00 dollars. The second is i have made a purchase that I hope to be able to resell for a bit better then double my money, not to be greedy, but to better utillize my earnings. This purchase required my entire stake, so I am a bit nervous and apprehensive, about its outcome. I do believe I will be able to turn it into a successful transaction. I decided against the used book idea, mainly because I did not see anything i thought would have significant resale value. This current venture holds more promise, seeing as the low price per unit versus the expected ROI (return on investment) ROI, rate of profit or sometimes just return, is the ratio of money gained or lost (whether realized or unrealized) on an investment relative to the amount of money invested. The amount of money gained or lost may be referred to as interest, profit/loss, gain/loss, or net income/loss. The money invested may be referred to as the asset, capital, principal, or the cost basis of the investment. ROI is usually expressed as a percentage rather than a fraction. To simpify ROI is a financial term meaning what you recieve compared to what you spend. I am going to try to put in a financial term in each new Project millionaire Update for two reasons: 1st is it is important to know that the investment and financial world has its own language, and if you don't know it you can't play thier game. I will always give you the common accepted definition and then make a plain english version that will be easy to understand. (this way you can have both terms and play the game. The 2ndreason is because, remember when we get to ever higher increases in dollar amounts the complexities of investing our stake will increase. Wth that increased difficulty the amount of financial jargon terms that will need to be understood can become daunting to those who don't have experience in this arena. The reason I chose ROI is because it is the most important in any venture, the expected profit must be greater then all costs of doing business and taxes and other issues to make the investment, or expenditure worthwhile. If you know that item X will sell for 3 times what you buy it for then you can determine if it is a good investment of your money. But if you know that you will have to pay shipping and handling and you may have to pay customs fees and other tax, you may have to decide that 3 times is not high enough you may have to a) increase the selling price. or B) see if a bulk discount is available usually the cost of an object will go down with an increase in the number of items purchased. Or C) decide that this is not the right choice at this time to invest into. This can be the most important decision you make. Sometimes the decision not to make a purchase is just as important as the the one to go ahead and spend the money. Sphere: Related Content
